T.O.'s future a gamble?

Just received this press release and thought it worth sharing:

BetonSports.com places odds on Terrell Owens potential performance

August 17, 2005 (New York, NY) – Terrell Owen’s first day back to practice after a one week dismissal following a heated argument with coach Andy Reid has sports fans around the globe wondering - what next? With this modern day sports soap opera everyone is waiting for the next episode and BetonSports.com is giving fans a sneak peak.

BetonSports.com analysts and oddsmakers gathered an extensive list of odds regarding Terrell Owens future performance and actions with the Eagles:

6:5 odds that Terrell Owens total receiving yards in the NFL 2005 regular season will be over 1400 yards.

6:5 odds that Terrell Owens total touchdowns in the NFL regular season will be over 12 ½ TDs

2:1 odds that he will get into a sideline fist fight with D. McNabb during the 2005 season

2:1 odds that he will be suspended for 1 or more games during the 2005 season

5:1 odds that he will be traded to the Falcons during the 2005 season

We couldn't make this stuff up if we tried.

Pretty safe odds on the yards gained and number of TDs. Not much courage there by the betting line.

The 2:1 odds on the fist fight and suspension don't coincide with the production odds for yards and TDs. For TO to grab that many yards and TDs, he's either going to get them early and fade and then we have the fist fight and suspension. The longer the season goes without descension the less likely there will be a a fight, suspension and or trade. Seems like the mindless took those bets.

Somebody woke up when it came to betting the trade line. I like 20:1 if TO is a good boy all season and pulls off the betting yards and TDs. Who in their right mind would trade the lad to Atlanta a potential nemesis in the NFC for several years to come?

The NFL owners should be fine by the NLRB or something. They get away with murder and you sucker fans don't even look their way because of who the athletes are. Young and Black! The Billionare Bullies never honor their 7 year contracts. They dump everybody on first injury. They are nothing but CROOKS!!!

Yet most of you defend them over the athletes? Why? If this was 1950's things would be different. You love athletes back then...I wonder why.
