Does losing make fans thinner?

There may be an upside to the Eagles' disasterous 6-10 season. From the Daily Pennsylvanian:

City loses weight, but still not yet fit
Phila. goes from 2nd to 23rd in 'Men's Fitness' fattest city rankings

The Eagles' record and the Phillies pennant race may have been losers for Philadelphia in the past year, but there is one instance in which the city can be proud to miss the cut.

In Men's Fitness magazine's annual survey of America's fattest cities, Philadelphia slimmed down from second last year to 23rd this year.

Were Eagles fans turning away from the tube, beer and snacks? Maybe, but leave it to Mayor Street to try and take the credit.

I know that I rarely felt like eating during our lackluster 6-10 season, that is for sure! I must admit, however that I ate alot more of what everyone calls nervous food (anything that crucnches). Check out flockofeagles.blogspot.com. I fheard about it from a friend. Good site! SMEF

dont forget...that same poll that listed you as the 23 fattest city...voted you the #1 most unathletic city....pretty funny for a "so-called sports town"
