Christmas wishes

Not sure why a writer from Paradise, Calif., (which might explain all the factual errors about Eagles fans) is chiming in on the topic, but at least the sentiment is in the spirit of the holiday season:

The gift of peace and quiet to Donovan McNabb

By Rick Silva
Paradise Post

"It's Christmas time, and I'm in the giving mood, so I think I'll hand out some gifts.

To Philadelphia Eagle quarterback Donovan McNabb: A quiet 2006. From the day he was drafted by the Eagles in 1999, the guy's been someone's target.

The fans wailed when he (was) drafted over Ricky Williams - but you expect that from Philly fans. They booed Santa Claus when he arrived on the field on a motorcycle and for Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin when he left on a stretcher.

...

(I)n the span of 25 months, McNabb was criticized by a conservative radio talk show host for being overrated by the media because he was black and by a NAACP leader for becoming a mediocre quarterback because he didn't play the game "black" enough.

...

(H)ere's to a quiet 2006 for a man who has been classy every step of the way, no matter where the shots are coming from."

he was classy until he lied his ass of by saying we or they could win w/o TO,,, huh so much for that,,, Mcnabb's confidence is what makes people talk about him,,, he keeps saying the same things over and over again,, "it's my fault" or " i need to do a better job" it's been 7 years,, when do the mistakes end???
no as far as i'm concerned he will be lashed out until he stops himself

What was he supposed to say?"Ohhh,we're doomed..woe is me"?
I'm sure he was feeling TO's abscence, hopin' like hell he'd be back but he can't say that on TV and disrespect his other teammates.

A good beginner course in logic and rhetoric would have made TO feel much better about those comments. That's his problem..an uneducated man.
They are the comments of simply moving on in the face of adversity.
As a matter of fact, who wrote that above? Is it you,TO?

It's the same thing over and over again,,, the same with A Ried,, "i have to do a better job of calling plays" or McNabb "it's my fault"
STOP!!!! HERE'S AN IDEA,
1st A Ried,, stop calling the plays,, a person who has never coached anything but an O-line has no right calling playes,, hire someone who know's how to call a bootleg on obvious running plays and visversa,, it's sickining to see the same routs pass after pass there is no guessing with this offence it's predictable,, very predictable, hell it would be nice to see McNabb audable once in a while,, espcially when he sees 8-9 guys in the box on obvious running plays,, same with the pass,, could you throw it away once in a while??? save some yardage on the sack...TO needs help,,, why not help him,, look what he did for this eagles team last year,, they were so confident they just blew everybody away,,, he gave mcnabb his best year,, only TO could catch thoes bad passes, it's a shame that this organization will be "spitefull" and let him go,,, i feel bad, very bad for TO, he deserved a new contract,, the day of the SB they should have re-done his deal,, heck even in 5 years from now TO will still be better then any Receiver the eagles will have or ever had,,
help the man,, try being human and lending a helping hand,, if that does not work well then you tried!!as and eagles fan,, i'm sick to my stomach at what's happinging in the fron office,,

YEAH,,, YOU DO REALIZE MOST 3RD STRINGERS WILL BE PLAYING RIGHT?? I COULD UNDERSTAND IF IT WAS A HEALTHY EAGLES TEAM GOING ON THE FIELD,, IT'S FUNNY YOU REALLY SHOW HOW STUPID YOU ARE BY THOES DUMB COMMENTS YOU TYPE,,, A VISITING TEAM WITH 13 PLAYERS ON THE IR MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE SPREAD,, YOU DUMB ASS

Actually moron Arizona is the only team with more players on the IR than the Eagles. So now who's the moron. LOL. And they are missing their starting QB too. So now whats your excuse?

HEY STUPID!!! WHO SAID THE EAGLES HAD THE MOST PLAYERS ON THE IR??

U DUMB ASS!

No one did. But someone said that the reason the Eagles were 1 point underdogs this weekend was because of all the guys they have on IR. I was only explaining that actually AZ has more guys on IR. So that isn't the reason. The reason the Eagles are underdogs is because AZ is a better team right now. Thats pretty sad for you guys. LOL. Who's the dumbass now? LOL. Go watch your team battle it out against AZ tomorrow. Should be exciting. LOL. Im sure you'll be watching the Giants game. LOL. Loser. LOL.

actually az has the best passing attack in football,, better the Indy??? yep! that's why there underdogs,, there QB is not that bad,, he's actually very good on a bad team,, and there WR are just animals,,, sure would llike boldin? i think his name is,, he's all muscle and speed..
the only sad thing is how banged up they are,, that's too bad,, would have been a good year with out the injurys and if TO was normal..
hey the giants know all about injurys,, so you should be sympathetic,, it's not the same when you team plays a team that's not at full strength,, that's the best two good teams at full health,,, playing a 3rd string QB is no fun,,
hey man knock yourself out by ripping the eagles it's all good,, hey next year if both teams are at full strength that will be fun talking about,,
goodluck against the indians,, they looked very impressive,, hey they won me 100 bucks.

Aren't posts on this board supposed to be written in English?

The Eagles and Cardinals have been bitten by the injury bug more than any other teams in the NFL. Including Injured Reserve, Physically Unable to Perform and Non-Football Injury Lists, the Eagles have 17 players and the Cardinals have 13 who have had their seasons ended
