The Philadelphia Eagles today announced they have signed the following seven players to the practice squad:

WR Michael Gasperson
DE Alonzo Jackson
G/C Jamaal Jackson
DT Keyonta Marshall
CB/WR Robert Redd
TE Andy Thorn
G Scott Young

Alonzo Jackson (6-4, 268) played in 9 games over the last two seasons in Pittsburgh after being drafted in the 2nd round by the Steelers in 2003. A native of Americus, GA, Jackson notched 23 sacks during a four-year career at Florida State.

There is one thing that hasn't changed since last year and it will hurt the Eagles chances of going all the way again. Westbrook is fantastic at what he does, but every team needs a big, smashmouth running back. With Buckhalter out for the season again, where are we gonna get one? Can anyone say Maurice Clarett?
