The heat is on at Lehigh

From Marc Narducci:

Other than the ongoing Terrell Owens watch, the other story at the Eagles' first full-squad workout this morning was the scorching, mid-90's heat and high humidity at the Lehigh University practice facility.

Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard said the heat got to him; he had to leave practice early. The Florida native was taken aback by the conditions.

"It was pretty hot," he said. "I got out later myself (to cool down), but you have to expect this heat and keep on pushing."

Running back Correll Buckhalter also had to have his body temperature cooled down, but declared himself "fine." Wide receiver Greg Lewis limped off the field with a cramp.

Bumps and bruises

Defensive tackle Sam Rayburn hyperextended his elbow. Head coach Andy Reid said he is day-to-day. Guard-center Jamaal Jackson is being evaluated for a triceps injury. Rookie linebacker Matt McCoy sat out the morning session with a strained right medial collateral knee ligament. Cornerback Matt Ware sat out with a right knee injury, but said it was nothing serious.

An Eagles camp blog is great, but right now all I'm seeing are exact parallels of story's at Phillynews. How is Reggie Brown looking? Ryan Moats? Considine? Kearse? Kalu? Etc etc etc? That's what I want to hear.

Ditto. I already read philly.com. The blog doesn't serve a purpose if it includes nothing other than what's already at the the Inquirer/DN website.
